Are you looking for a bra with a traditional feel? This Pollyanna bra by Freya has a beautiful flower design, with all the support we've come to expect from Freya. It's also available in a wide range of sizes, up to a HH cup!
How supportive is this bra? The cups of this Pollyanna bra are made in three pieces, to offer you maximum support. They are also generously cut, to cover the entire breast and should mean that you still feel secure when you bend over! Freya have a history of producing bras for women with bigger busts, so you should feel confident in the support this bra offers. The straps are wider than usual to reduce the strain on your shoulders, and are fully adjustable. Depending on the cup size, there are two (D-DD) or three (E-HH) hooks at the back fastening.
The one-handed maternity clips allow you to release the soft drop cups whilst holding your baby safely in your other hand. There is also an internal frame, offering you great support even when the cups are down. The full cups should also hold your breast pads in place without any problems. This Pollyanna bra has a thick band under the bust to support you without underwires. Experts believe that wearing a bra with underwires when feeding can contribute to the development of mastitis, so an underwired bra may be something you want to consider.
So what does it look like? This bra has a mock broderie anglaise fabric, with beautiful flowery design. There is also scalloped lace trim along the tops of the cups, and mini rosebuds between the cups. It's these little details that add a touch of feminine luxury!
This Freya bra can be worn when you are pregnant and after the birth of your baby, extending the life of this bra! The cups are not padded. To keep it in the best condition, we would recommend hand washing this bra.
So why do we like this Freya Pollyanna bra? We think it's a lovely, comfortable bra that offers great support for bigger busted mums. The flower pattern is feminine but subtle, allowing you to mix practicality and style!
As a generalisation, we think this bra is a similar size and fit to a Panache bra and also a similar fit and size to Triumph bras.
